Day 1
P&O night ferry crossing from Rotterdam/Zeebrugge to Hull. Continue to Holyhead in Wales and take the ferry to Dublin. On arrival, take in the attractions of the cosmopolitan capital. Visit Trinity College, Ireland’s most famous university, before stepping inside the renowned Guinness Storehouse – a whole 7-floor museum dedicated to Ireland’s most famous export, Guinness Stout.
Flight option: Arrive in Dublin a day later and start exploring.
Day 2
Travel to Kilkenny via the Wicklow region, known as the Garden of Ireland. In Kilkenny visit the Smithwick’s Experience, to see the working factory of this famous ale and learn about its interesting history. Finish the day at the impressive Kilkenny Castle. Upon entering the castle you will be whisked back in time to 1830’s splendour. Explore the castle’s lavish rooms and fascinating history, as well as its surrounding parklands.

Today head to Cork. On your way, visit the impressive Rock of Cashel – the historic site is famous for its collection of medieval ecclesiastical building, set on an outcrop of limestone. Don’t miss the opportunity to climb the stairs to the Blarney Stone located in Blarney Castle. Once kissed, the stone is said to bequeath the gift of eloquence. Afterwards join a guided tour of Jameson Experience in Midleton. Follow the path through the malting, milling, mashing, fermenting, distilling and maturing. Complete the journey with a whiskey tasting in the Jameson Bar.

Journey from Cork to Killarney to visit the Killarney Brewing Company where you will get a chance to see how the Brewhouse operates up close. From there the journey continues with a stop at Ladies View, to admire the panoramic views. The final stop of the day will be at Muckross House, a 19th century Victorian mansion set against the breathtaking Killarney National Park. Go for a stroll through its lovely gardens at the end of the tour.

Today visit the Dingle Peninsula which was once voted the ‘most beautiful place on earth’ by the National Geographic. Visit Gallarus Oratory, one of the finest examples of an early Christian church to be found in Ireland. Dating from 800 AD it was built without mortar and is shaped like an upturned boat.

Begin the day by visiting Bunratty Castle, a 15th century castle, which is the acclaimed setting for the 19th century Bunratty Folk Park. Step back in time as you wander round the park and gain a window into Ireland’s past. Afterwards go to the Cliffs of Moher, Ireland’s showstopping attraction. The Cliffs stand 214 metres tall at their highest point and give way to spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean.

On your way visit Clonmacnoise, an important monastic site which is home to fantastically crafted stone crosses, the ruins of a cathedral and two impressive round towers. Your last full day in Ireland ends in style with a visit to the Kilbeggan Distillery Experience, which is the oldest continually licensed distillery in Ireland. Spend the evening back in Dublin.
