Helsinki – Savonlinna
After breakfast, drive to Savonlinna with a stopover in Porvoo and a visit to the old town with its rust-red painted warehouses on the riverbank. Continue to Lahti and stop at its famous ski jumps. Take the opportunity to enjoy the fantastic view from the viewing platform before another stopover - this time in Mikkeli to see the Astuvansalmi stone paintings, the largest in Scandinavia.

Savonlinna – Finnish Lakeland – Joensuu
In the morning drive to Joensuu, the capital of North Karelia. On the way visit the majestic Olavinlinna Castle before going on an excursion to Koli National Park to enjoy the magnificent view over Lake Pielinen from the top of Ukko-Koli Hill.

Joensuu – Kuopio
The day has a special highlight in store, a visit to Valamo Monastery including a guided tour and wine tasting of the wine produced on site in the monastery itself - continue to Kuopio and visit the Puijo Tower with fantastic views of the expanse of lakes surrounding the city.
