Arrive in London

Day 2
London Sightseeing
This morning you will have a walking tour with a difference. This will be a unique walking tour of London, guided by people with lived experience of homelessness. Each tour blends fascinating local history with powerful personal stories, giving travellers an authentic, eye-opening perspective on the city. By joining a tour, you will not only enjoy an unforgettable experience, but also support a social enterprise that empowers its guides and creates a lasting positive impact.
This fascinating walk will be on the south side of the Thames, an area full of mystery and historical tales. Your guide will take you along the river on the South Bank, before veering off the beaten path into Borough’s most mysterious alleys. Along the route, you will see a gothic cathedral, an infamous prison, and a secret archaeological dig. You will learn about powerful symbols of inequality and social injustice, and hear sordid stories of crimes and ghosts.
Afterwards visit Borough Market. The market began 1,000 years ago, when a market took shape at the foot of London Bridge. Since 1756, it has been in its current location, run by a charitable trust on behalf of the community. Their mission is to show that food can be made and sold in ways that are better for people, for the planet and for the sheer pleasure of eating. Here, in this historic setting, you’ll find an incredible range of food from all over Britain and the rest of the world – and every item has a story to tell. You can grab some lunch at one of the many food and drink vendors on the site.
In the afternoon you will have a guided tour of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. Your expert guide-storytellers will provide your group with a fascinating tour of the Globe Theatre auditorium, vividly recreating colourful stories of the 1599 Playhouse, the London Shakespeare would have known and the Globe reconstruction process in the 1990s. Our guides will also bring the theatre to life, exploring how the wooden ‘O’ works today as an imaginative and experimental space for performance.
Educational groups may like to add a workshop on the Shakespeare play of your choice.

Day 3
English Vineyard
Today you visit Gusbourne Estates in Kent. Gusbourne is a leading English sparkling wine producer, rooted in the Kent countryside, with a commitment to crafting world-class wines of precision and character. Their cellar door, The Nest, is a place where visitors connect with the vines, enjoy curated tastings and dining and experience their wines in the landscape that shapes them. The Nest creates positive impact across multiple dimensions. Socially and culturally, they act as a hub for Kent, partnering with local restaurants, hotels, artisans and events.
Your visit will include a guided vineyard tour, with a glass of sparkling wine amongst the vines, tutored tasting and a seasonal three-course lunch.
We will then return to London for a free evening. Dinner on your own. Overnight in London.
Day 4
Blenheim Palace - Oxford
Today we leave the capital and drive to Blenheim Palace. Blenheim Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site offering a rich blend of history, culture, and natural beauty. Visitors can explore the Palace’s stunning Baroque architecture, exquisite formal gardens, and over 2,000 acres of parkland, as well as enjoy tours, exhibitions, seasonal events, and family-friendly activities. As both a heritage attraction and working estate, Blenheim also offers locally produced goods, dining experiences, and educational programs.
We then drive on to the university city of Oxford - the City of Dreaming Spires where you will have free time for lunch, a guided walking tour of the city and visit one of the colleges.

Day 5
Liverpool
Today we travel North to the iconic city of Liverpool. In Liverpool we will visit Strawberry Field. Strawberry Field, the site immortalised by John Lennon in The Beatles’ hit, Strawberry Fields Forever, opened its iconic red gates to the public for the first time in September 2019. Previously the site of a Salvation Army children’s home where the young John Lennon played in the grounds, it now serves as a unique addition to Beatles tourism. Complete with a visitor exhibition, café, shop, gardens and – with responsible tourism at its heart - the Steps at Strawberry Field programme that works to continue the tradition of giving back to the local community. It is also home to the world-famous piano that John Lennon used to compose and record Imagine, one of the greatest peace anthems of the 20th century.
Lunch on your own in the Royal Albert Dock area. With its world class museums, impressive retail and leisure offering and vast selection of the city’s best independent and well-established eateries, it’s no surprise that Royal Albert Dock is the most visited free tourist attraction outside of London, and a must-see when in Liverpool.
After lunch you will visit the Beatles Story where you are invited to embark on an incredible journey through time into the lives and music of The Beatles. Dinner and overnight in the Liverpool area.
Day 6
Northumberland
Today we drive further North and on to Northumberland where we visit Beamish, the Living museum of the North.
Beamish is an amazing experience, bringing history to life, from the 1820s to the 1950s. Visitors to the award-winning open air museum travel back in time, being immersed in the unforgettable sights, sounds, smells and delicious tastes of the past, from visiting the Edwardian school and 1950s toy shop and cinema, and going underground in a mine, to tasting freshly-made bread and sweets, braving the 1900s dentist and getting a 1950s hairstyle. Visitors can explore homes, shops, and other buildings, discovering fascinating stories from costumed staff and volunteers.
This evening you will have dinner at Blackfriars in Newcastle. Blackfriars Dominican Friary dates back to 1239. The restaurant occupies the former refectory and as such is the oldest dining room in Britain. It serves traditional historic dishes made from fresh, local and seasonal produce.

Day 7
Yorkshire
Today we will drive East and into Yorkshire. You will enjoy a visit to RHS Garden Harlow Carr and to experience their wonderful gardens spanning 58 acres, featuring a diverse array of plants. Highlights include the Queen Mother’s Lake, a haven for visitors and wildlife alike, the lush banks of Streamside, the Alpine House that's home to over 2,000 plants or the tranquil Sandstone Rock Garden. The RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) is the UK's leading gardening charity. Here you will have time for lunch on your own.
We then drive on to York to visit the Minster. Since the 7th century, York Minster has been at the centre of Christianity in the north of England. Today the Cathedral and Metropolitan Church of St Peter in York remains a thriving church welcoming communities from across the globe. This includes the exquisite, handcrafted stone and unrivalled collection of medieval stained glass.
After dinner in a local historic pub you will have a guided Ghost walking tour of this fascinating city. Overnight York area.
Day 8
Cambridge
Today you will return to London via the university city of Cambridge where you will stop for lunch on your own and a guided walking tour.
Farewell dinner with one drink included in a local restaurant close to your hotel in London. Overnight in London.
Day 9
Departure from London
Transfer back to the airport for your flight home or extend your stay in London.
