Day 1

ARRIVE IN DUBLIN

Arrive in Dublin, Ireland’s cosmopolitan capital city. Dublin has a wealth of treasures for the visitor with cultural delights like St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Dublin Castle to name but a few! Visit Trinity College - the oldest university in Ireland.

Day 2

DUBLIN – CASTLE WARD – CO. ANTRIM

Travel north towards Belfast. On the way discover various Game of Thrones filming locations in the stunning County Down and the Mourne Mountains. Join a walking tour through Tollymore Forest Park, the backdrop of the Haunted Forest in the series' first episode (ca. 5 km, ca. 1.5 hours walk, fitness level - easy). Visit Inch Abbey, transformed into Robb Stark’s camp, Riverrun, and step into a fantasy world at Castle Ward, the historic farmyard location for Winterfell.

Day 3

GAME OF THRONES STUDIO TOUR

Get an exclusive glimpse into the world of Game of Thrones® with the ‘Game of Thrones Studio Tour’. Located at the authentic filming location of Linen Mill Studios in Banbridge, Northern Ireland, ‘Game of Thrones Studio Tour’ welcomes visitors into the Seven Kingdoms and beyond to explore the making of all eight seasons of HBO’s global hit series. Step onto original sets, including the iconic Great Hall at Winterfell where Jon Snow was proclaimed the “King in the North,” and view genuine set pieces including Daenerys Targaryen’s imposing Dragonstone throne. See first-hand the intricate detail of the costumes, weapons and props imagined by award-winning designers and artisans and encounter interactive elements to relive some of the most memorable scenes from the show. Covering over 10,000 m2, this world-class attraction invites you to peek behind the scenes to discover all the elements that went into bringing the epic world of Game of Thrones® to life.

In the afternoon explore the capital of Northern Ireland. Belfast has much to offer to its visitors – from lively streets to enticing museum collections.

Day 4

ALONG ANTRIM COASTAL ROUTE

Today visit the small town Shillanavogy, Between the 400-meter hills of Slemish and Glen Head you will find a green valley that is known as the Dothraki Sea, where Daenerys and Khal Drogo got married. Continue along the Antrim Coastal Route, stopping at Carnlough harbour, which served as Braavos Canal a key place in Arya Stark’s. A little further north, visit Cushendun Caves, where the Red Priestess gaof birth to the Shadow Baby in episode 4 of season 2.

Day 5

DARK HEDGES – BALLYCASTLE – GIANT’S CAUSEWAY

Start with a walk along the scenic Dark Hedges, known as the Kingsroad in the series – a must see for a Game of Thrones® tour. Visit Ballycastle, a lovely little village used as the backdrop for the Free Cities where Varys was born. Travel to Fair Head, used as the majestic Dragonstone Cliffs. Here Jon Snow and Daenerys walked along Fair Head and Jon was permitted by Drogon to touch the dragon’s face. You now have the chance to see one of the nicest beaches of Northern Ireland, Murlough Bay, which was seen in the series as Slayers Bay.

In the afternoon step out of the movie magic to explore Giant’s Causeway, an area of 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, the result of an ancient volcanic fissure eruption. Though not used as a filming location in the series, this site is certainly worth a visit on this tour through enticing Northern Ireland.

Day 6

DUNLUCE CASTLE - CO. DERRY

Get an early morning start to visit Dunluce Castle. The imposing ruins were used as template for the exterior of the House Greyjoy of Pyke. Mussenden Temple & Downhill Strand are your next stop - the filming locations for the burning of the Seven Idols of Westeros. Afterwards see the rural scenic view of Binevenagh which served as Dothraki Grasslands. While in Londonderry, enjoy a guided visit on the city walls (optional).

Day 7

LONDONDERRY - BELFAST

Travel from Londonderry to Belfast for your flight home. If time permits, stop at Lough Neagh, which was used as The Summer Sea, one of the major oceans located in the South of Westeros and Essos. Alternatively, return to Dublin instead of Belfast.
