Upon arriving in Newcastle, continue to Edinburgh, where there will be the possibility to join a guided sightseeing tour of the Scottish capital. Alternatively, explore the city independently, and take in the famous sights at a leisurely pace.Overnight stay including half-board in the Edinburgh area. Flight option: Arrive in Edinburgh, and time permitting explore the city independently.

Perth & Malt Whisky Trail

Explore the beautiful city of Perth and visit the impressive Scone Palace which was once the location for the coronation of Scottish kings. Afterwards follow the unique Malt Whisky Trail and get insights into the origin of the world famous Scotch whisky. Top off the experience by enjoying a whisky tasting. Overnight stay including half-board in the Aviemore/ Newtonmore/Grantown area.

Inverness, Loch Ness & Glasgow

Start the day with a short stop in Inverness, the capital of the Scottish Highlands. Continue to the wondrous ruins of Urquhart Castle, beautifully located on the banks of Loch Ness. Take the time to enjoy the stunning view of the legendary Loch before travelling through Glen Coe to admire the spectacular views of one of Scotland’s most famous glens. On the way to Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city, pass the picturesque Loch Lomond. Overnight stay including half-board in the Glasgow area.

Gretna Green & Ferry Crossing

In the morning visit the famous Gretna Green which has been the location of choice for thousands of runaway weddings since 1754. In the afternoon continue the homeward journey by night ferry from Hull. Flight option: Depending on the flight departure time, there will be some free time in Glasgow. Transfer to the airport and return flight.
