Day 2
Full day city tour of Stockholm with a local guide who will show you the Swedish city’s most famous landmarks. Visit Gamla Stan, the old city with its narrow cobblestoned lanes, charming small squares and colourful medieval buildings.

After a breakfast buffet at the hotel, the group will travel to Hamar. There will be lots of stops along the way, as well as many photo opportunities as many of Sweden’s best lakes are passed. Journey through open landscapes, dense forests and glittering lakes, as well as Karlstad, the capital of the province of Värmland, located beautifully on the shores of Lake Vänern, the largest of Sweden’s lakes.

Another scenic drive awaits on the way to Geiranger. There will be a stop at lovely Lillehammer and Lom, to see their amazing wooden Stave Churches. Afterwards the journey continues through the green, fertile farmland of Gudbrands Valley, and the many surrounding mountains, which offer a picturesque and unique backdrop.

Morning cruise on the UNESCO-listed Geiranger Fjord, renowned for its impressive waterfalls and beautiful scenery. Continue to Briksdal Glacier which can be explored on motorised open Troll Cars, allowing for superb panoramic views. Finish in the remarkable Sognefjord area.

On a 2 hour mini-cruise travel on the beautiful Sognefjord, Norway’s longest and deepest fjord that connects with the UNESCO Nærøyfjord, an area with towering snow-clad mountains, hanging valleys and cascading waterfalls. The cruise finishes in Flåm where the journey continues along one of the most exceptional railways in the world. With breathtaking views at every curve it will take you up to the mountain station of Myrdal, to catch the connecting train to Voss. The last leg of the journey to Bergen will be completed by coach.
