Welcome to the Kingdom of Norway – in summer, the midnight sun bathes this region in a never-ending glow. Arrive at Oslo Gardermoen airport and make your own way to the hotel (optional train ticket 32 € p.p. or private transfer 215 €). Enjoy a free evening in the city at your own pace. Oslo - Evenes - Sortland (100km)

Breakfast in the hotel. Meet your tour leader for a briefing before departure. Depart at 10:00 by coach to Oslo airport for the group flight to Evenes (13:20, included). On arrival at Evenes/Harstad–Narvik Airport (15:00), board your private coach for a scenic drive through picturesque landscapes to Sortland (ETA 17:30). Overnight at Scandic Sortland.

Sortland - Andenes - Sortland

Breakfast in the hotel. Travel to Andenes, the northernmost town in the Vesterålen archipelago and one of Europe's premier whale-watching destinations. Embark on an exciting whale safari in the rich Arctic waters, where you may encounter sperm whales, humpback whales, orcas and other marine wildlife in their natural environment. Visit the Whale Center and Museum to learn about the biology, behaviour and migration of these magnificent creatures, before returning through the beautiful landscapes of Vesterålen. Sortland - Lofoten - Svolvær

Breakfast in the hotel. Start a panoramic tour of the Lofoten Islands with your tour leader. First stop: Lofotr Viking Museum at Borg for a guided tour – discover the world of the first skilled craftsmen to settle in Lofoten, row a Viking ship, and learn how stockfish has been traded here for over 1,000 years. Continue across the vast plateau of Magerøya Island and reach Honningsvåg and the iconic North Cape. In the evening, visit the North Cape plateau for the breathtaking cliffside viewpoint overlooking the Arctic Ocean and the midnight sun. North Cape - Ivalo - Helsinki

Breakfast in the hotel. Bid farewell to the northernmost point of Europe and travel to Ivalo via the scenic E69 and E6 – the "Last Road on Earth." Pass through Lakselv and Karasjok, the cultural capital of the Sami People, where you can learn about their traditions and history, and shop for unique handcrafted artefacts. After entering Finland and changing time zone (EEST), stop at the Sami Siida Museum to explore the relationship between nature, man and culture. Continue to Ivalo airport, where there is free time to dine before the evening flight to Helsinki (21:00, arriving 23:45). Walk 5 minutes from the terminal to your hotel. Helsinki - Overnight Cruise to Stockholm

Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast (09:30), check out and board the coach to Helsinki city centre. On arrival, your local guide takes you on a 2-hour city tour visiting Senate Square, the Kauppatori market square, Uspenski Cathedral (exterior), and highlights along the harbour.
