Day 2
Breakfast in the hotel. A local guide takes you on a panoramic tour of Copenhagen, visiting the historic district of Nyhavn, Amalienborg Palace and Christiansborg Palace. In the afternoon, departure to Aarhus by ferry from Odden. Option: Classic Canal Tour from Nyhavn (€35 p.p.). Overnight in Aarhus at Comwell Aarhus City or similar.

Breakfast in the hotel. Morning guided tour of Aarhus, Denmark's second city and European Capital of Culture 2017, with a stop at the Romanesque-Gothic Cathedral. Free time to explore independently. In the afternoon, continue north to Hirtshals to board the overnight cruise to Norway. Dinner and overnight on board.

After an early arrival in Stavanger, enjoy breakfast at the hotel or a nearby restaurant. Morning panoramic walk with your tour leader through Stavanger's charming old town. Rest of the day free. Choose one optional activity: Option A – 3-hour Lysefjord cruise (€75 p.p.); Option B – Lysefjord cruise combined with the spectacular Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) hike (€130 p.p.). Day 5
Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Bergen via ferry from Mortavika to Årsvågen and from Sandvikvåg to Halhjem. Afternoon panoramic tour of Bergen with a local guide, including the famous fish market and the Hanseatic quarter (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Optional ride on the Fløibanen funicular up Mount Fløyen for panoramic views. Overnight in Bergen at Scandic Ørnen or similar.

Day 6
Breakfast in the hotel. Head to Voss to board the Bergen Railway, ascending nearly 900 metres with spectacular fjord views to Myrdal station. Here, board the famous Flåmsbana – one of the world's steepest railway lines – winding through breathtaking waterfalls, steep mountains and 20 tunnels down to the village of Flåm. Enjoy leisure time in Flåm before cruising the Sognefjord – Norway's longest fjord – to Balestrand. Overnight and dinner in Balestrand/Voss at Kviknes Hotel, Myrkdalen Hotel or similar.

Breakfast in the hotel. Continue through mountains, valleys and breathtaking landscapes by coach and ferry. Stop to visit the Borgund Stave Church, a wooden masterpiece dating back to 1180 AD. Continue past Lake Tyrifjord to Oslo. Overnight in Oslo at Thon Hotel Terminus or similar.

Breakfast in the hotel. Guided tour of Oslo, including Frogner Park with the Vigeland sculpture complex, the City Hall, the Royal Palace and the modern Opera House. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, depart for Sweden and arrive in Karlstad, set in the delta of the Klarälven River and Lake Vänern. Enjoy the hotel's wellness facilities, including an indoor jacuzzi, traditional sauna with panoramic views, and fitness centre. Overnight and light supper in Karlstad at Home Plaza.
